Vintage Apple Solutions
1-bit rainbow celebrate, and provide solutions for, vintage Apple products of 25 years or older
I’m Nick Gillard and I have been working with Apple products for 34 years; the first 15 as a systems manager for London based creative companies, and the next 15 starting and building thebookyard.com, a supplier of Apple service spares and refurbished Macs.
Cool and remarkable as Apple’s latest products are, it is the early Apple computers which have always held the fascination for me, as they do for so many vintage Apple enthusiasts worldwide. Objectively it makes no sense; they are so basic and primitive by todays technology standards. They don’t have high definition graphics. They can’t process billions of complex instructions a second. But it’s more than just nostalgia. It is this paradox that inspired the name 1-bit rainbow.
